Bow Valley Green Energy Cooperative was privileged to receive the first-ever Sustainability Trailblazer Award at the Eco Impact 2025 conference, which Eco Canada hosted last night in Calgary!
We had a fantastic time celebrating individuals and businesses taking strides to reduce their environmental impact from all across Canada and, best of all, walking away with the recognition of all our hard work to date.
A huge thank you to our Friends, Members, Investors and Host sites, who all helped make this accolade possible. We are humbled to recognise that our volunteer board of directors has invested over 5000 hours of volunteer labour since BVGEC's inception. What a fantastic endeavour!
We would be amiss not to recognise and appreciate the ongoing support of our parent organisation, The Biosphere Institute of the Bow Valley, which provided BVGEC with a letter of support for this award alongside our Host Site partner, Baymag. Thank you both for your belief in our work.
